One of the two oldest public institutions of higher education in the state of Texas, PVAMU is a comprehensive institution of higher education whose main campus is located in Waller County, 35 miles northwest of Houston. It accomplishes its three-pronged mission of excellence in teaching, research and service through the Graduate School and seven Colleges: Benjamin Banneker Honors, Agriculture and Human Sciences, Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Engineering and Architecture, and Nursing. 

PVAMU is pleased to be a partner in this telecommunications project. It allows us to better serve Jefferson, Smith and Waller Counties and to achieve the goals of the 1890 Community, Business and Economic Development Program. The project also allows us to connect our customers to us and to resources at the six other universities, as well as to resources at the state and national level. You will have access to management education, computer training, business counseling, and technical assistance offered in your county to promote business and community development, as well as access to information and resources from a variety of other sources via the Internet.
